Rein in Taufers

A special place in South Tyrol!

The village of Rein in Taufers - you could tell endless stories. But where to start and where to stop?

If you follow the uphill road from Sand in Taufers to Rein, you will pass dense forests and some bottlenecks. Finally, however, you can discover a huge valley floor and soon the manageable village of Rein in Taufers appears in the middle of extensive meadows.

You can also see the fresh Reiner Bach (river), which is fed by many springs in the mountains, until it finally, below and just before Sand in Taufers, falls as a thundering waterfall and natural spectacle over vertical rocks.

Below the church, in the middle of a unique landscape, many houses nestle together and form the village center. From there you have a unique view of the 3.436 meter high Hochgall.

But not only this well-known local mountain can be climbed by one or the other summiteer, no, numerous other mountain peaks of the Durreck and Rieserferner group have to be climbed.

Rein in Taufers is a place where mountain dreams are born. In summer as well as in winter. The village is a all year-round destination. Because even the golden autumn attracts more and more mountain lovers every year.

Quiet alpine pastures, fantastically located refuges and alpine pastures (Knuttenalm, Durraalm, Rieseralm, Kasseler Hütte and Rieserfernerhütte), snack bars and quiet places for a comfortable rest offer plenty of opportunities to linger when you are on the way to one of the promising summits .

No, you really don't need anything more during a holiday in the high alpine village of Rein in Taufers.
