The most beautiful destinations around the Feichterhof in Riva di Tures


Reinbach Waterfalls near Sand in Taufers (approx. 14 km – 18 minutes by car)
The Reinbach Waterfalls are among the most impressive and well-known natural attractions in the Ahrntal Valley.
The water of the Rein stream rushes down towards the valley through several spectacular waterfalls. A pleasant forest trail leads to the impressive waterfalls and allows you to immerse yourself completely in nature.
A visit to the Reinbach Waterfalls can be combined with exploring Sand in Taufers and visiting Sand Castle, making for a wonderful day trip.


Tures Castle (approx. 12 km – 15 minutes by car)
The magnificent Tures Castle towers above the village of Sand in Taufers.
The medieval castle is one of the most famous attractions in the Tauferer Valley and offers a fascinating journey through the history and culture of the region.
A visit to the castle can be combined with a pleasant stroll through Sand in Taufers or a hike to the Reinbach Waterfalls.


Excursions in the Dolomites
The Dolomites are among the most spectacular mountain landscapes in South Tyrol. Their impressive rock formations, turquoise mountain lakes and spectacular panoramic roads make them an ideal destination for exciting day trips.
From our Feichterhof in the Ahrntal Valley, you can also reach some of the most famous and impressive destinations in the Dolomites.


Lake Braies (approx. 60 km – 1 hour 30 minutes by car)
Lake Braies is one of the best-known and most popular mountain lakes in South Tyrol.
Its emerald-green waters, impressive mountain scenery and characteristic rock faces make Lake Braies a truly unique destination.
A pleasant trail leads all the way around the lake. Lake Braies is particularly spectacular in the early morning or late afternoon, when the surrounding mountains are reflected in its waters.
Our tip: Before setting off, check the current traffic and access regulations for Lake Braies.


Tre Cime di Lavaredo (approx. 65–75 km – 1 hour 30 minutes by car)
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo are one of the most famous landmarks of the Dolomites and are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Their imposing peaks are a must-see for hiking and mountain enthusiasts, as well as for anyone who wants to experience the breathtaking Dolomite landscape up close. Numerous hiking trails wind their way around the Tre Cime, offering spectacular views of the impressive surrounding mountains.
A trip to the Tre Cime di Lavaredo is a truly special experience and, for many guests, one of the highlights of a holiday in South Tyrol.


Kronplatz (approx. 38 km – 1 hour 10 minutes by car)
Kronplatz, near Bruneck, is a popular destination at any time of year.
In summer, numerous hiking trails and panoramic viewpoints invite you to explore the mountains and enjoy magnificent views. The summit is also home to the Messner Mountain Museum Corones and LUMEN – Museum of Mountain Photography. In winter, Kronplatz transforms into one of South Tyrol’s best-known and most popular ski resorts.
Thanks to its proximity to Bruneck, a trip to Kronplatz can easily be combined with a visit to the town.

 

Bruneck – town, culture and shopping (approx. 25 km – 30 minutes by car)
Bruneck is the largest town in the Puster Valley and an ideal destination for a pleasant and varied day out.
The historic town centre invites you to stroll around and browse the shops. Small boutiques, cafés and restaurants offer a pleasant mix of urban life and authentic South Tyrolean atmosphere.
If you are looking for a little variety after a day spent in the mountains, Bruneck offers culture, shopping and gastronomy.

 

Speikboden and Klausberg
The two renowned adventure mountains of Speikboden and Klausberg are also located in the Ahrntal Valley.
In summer, numerous hiking trails, mountain lakes, panoramic viewpoints and plenty of opportunities for enjoying the mountains with the whole family await you. In winter, the region transforms into a popular winter sports destination with perfectly groomed ski slopes.


Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park
The Feichterhof is located in the heart of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, one of the largest protected areas in South Tyrol. Here, you can discover an authentic and unspoilt alpine landscape characterised by glaciers, waterfalls, mountain lakes, alpine pastures and high peaks.
Numerous hikes can be started directly from our farm or in the immediate surrounding area.
For us, the nature park is not simply a place to visit: it is our home.


Hiking directly from the Feichterhof
For many of our guests, their mountain experience begins right at the Feichterhof, without the need to take the car.
Numerous trails surrounded by nature start in the immediate vicinity of our farm. From leisurely walks to more challenging mountain hikes, the Ahrntal Valley offers countless opportunities to experience nature and the mountains.
